1. The Power of Helical Gears

Parallel shaft gearboxes use Engrenages hélicoïdaux (Engrenagens Helicoidais). The teeth are cut at an angle to the face of the gear. This allows multiple teeth to be in mesh at the same time (High Contact Ratio). The result is smoother power transmission, higher load capacity, and significantly less noise compared to the straight spur gears often used in cheaper boxes. Sugarcane Base Cutter (São Paulo)

The base cutter (Cortador de Base) is the most abused part of a harvester. It spins heavy discs to cut thick cane stalks at ground level. Our PS-Series gearboxes are used to drive these discs. The Parallel Offset allows the hydraulic motors to be mounted higher up, away from the dirt, while the output shaft drives the cutter discs down low, protected by the heavy cast housing.

Grain Carts (Mato Grosso)
