Centrifugal pumps (Bombas Centrífugas) are popular on large self-propelled sprayers because they are simple and handle high volumes. However, to generate pressure (3-8 bar), the impeller must spin fast—often over 3,500 RPM. Since the tractor PTO or hydraulic motor provides much lower speeds, our PD-Series works as a Step-Up Gearbox. We use precision-ground helical gears to multiply the input speed by ratios of 1:3 to 1:6, ensuring the pump operates at its peak efficiency curve without cavitation.
2. Diaphragm Pump Reducer
Conversely, Piston-Diaphragm pumps (Bombas de Membrana) are positive displacement units used for high-pressure applications (fungicides/insecticides). They operate best at low speeds (540 RPM or less). When driven by a 1000 RPM PTO or high-speed hydraulic motor, a reducer is needed. Our gearboxes provide torque multiplication, allowing a smaller hydraulic motor to drive a large 250 L/min pump, saving energy and reducing hydraulic oil heat.
3. Quick-Disconnect Integration
