Engineering the “Power Hub”

1. The 350HP Heat Problem

Transmitting 350HP through a compact gearbox generates immense heat due to efficiency losses (approx 2%). That’s nearly 5kW of heat energy—enough to boil the oil in 30 minutes in the Mato Grosso sun. EVER-POWER implements a “Volume-Flow” Cooling Design. The casing holds 12 Liters of oil (vs 8L standard) and features external ports for an optional oil cooler pump, essential for 24-hour planting operations.

2. Perfect Phase Synchronization

On a folding power harrow, the left and right wings must spin in perfect unison. If the splitter box has internal backlash variation, the rotors can collide in the center overlap zone. We use Ground Spiral Bevel Gears (DIN Class 5). The gear sets are matched and lapped to ensure zero phase difference between the left and right output shafts, preventing catastrophic implement self-destruction.

3. The Through-Shaft Backbone

Modern Brazilian planters utilize a rear-mounted air seeder. The splitter box must drive the side harrows AND pass power through to the rear fan. We use a Solid 42CrMo4 Through-Shaft. Unlike split-shaft designs, our solid shaft runs through the entire gearbox, ensuring that the heavy rear load doesn’t stress the internal bevel gear carrier bearings.

4. Spline-Drive Connections

Keyed shafts cannot handle the oscillating torque of a power harrow. They shear. We exclusively use DIN 5480 Involute Splines for all output connections. This distributes the torque load across 20+ teeth rather than a single keyway, virtually eliminating shaft fretting and failure even after 5,000 hours of heavy tillage.

Yes, the SP-Series is optimized for 1000 RPM input to reduce torque load on the input shaft. We also offer 540 RPM versions, but for high-horsepower (>150HP) applications, we strongly recommend 1000 RPM.

2. Is the rear PTO output independent or clutched?

The rear PTO through-shaft is typically direct-drive (live). It spins whenever the input shaft spins. However, we can integrate a hydraulic disconnect clutch for specific OEM requirements if you need to turn off the seeder fan while the harrows continue running.

3. What is the spline standard for the side outputs?
