1. Independent Steering Clutches
Maneuvering a 300kg machine in deep mud is impossible without assistance. Our MC-Series gearboxes feature Steering Clutches (Embreagens de Direção) on each axle shaft. By squeezing the left lever on the handlebar, the left wheel disengages from the drive train, allowing the machine to pivot instantly around that wheel. This “Zero-Turn” capability is essential for navigating tight rows in coffee plantations.
2. Dual-Mode PTO (Rotary & Stationary)
The versatility of a power tiller lies in its PTO. Our gearboxes offer a Synchronized and Independent PTO. In “Tilling Mode,” the PTO speed matches the engine for rotary hoeing. In “Stationary Mode,” the wheel drive is disengaged, turning the chassis into a stationary power unit to drive water pumps, sprayers, or generators via a pulley on the PTO shaft.
3. Structural Cast Iron Housing
The gearbox housing is the chassis frame. It must withstand the bending moment of a heavy diesel engine hanging off the front and the drag force of a plow on the rear. We use High-Grade Grey Iron (HT250) with extensive internal ribbing. This absorbs the vibration of single-cylinder diesel engines and prevents case cracking under heavy tow loads (e.g., pulling a 500kg trailer).
4. Waterproof Axle Seals
Many power tillers work in “Várzea” (flooded rice paddies). Standard seals fail when submerged in muddy water. Our gearboxes utilize a “Cassette” Seal System on the axle outputs. 3. Does it come with the rotary tiller?
The gearbox chassis is the drive unit. We sell the Rear Rotary Tiller (Enxada Rotativa) attachment separately. It bolts onto the rear PTO flange and is chain-driven from the gearbox output.
