O Ditching Attachment Gearbox (Caixa de Transmissão do Sulcador) is a highly specialized drivetrain. Engineering the “Earth Ejector”
1. Centrifugal Soil Mechanics
The key to a clean ditch is rotor speed. If the blades spin too slowly, the soil just tumbles back into the hole. If they spin too fast, the engine stalls. 2. What maintenance does the chain require?
The chain runs in a sealed bath of semi-fluid grease. It requires no daily lubrication. However, we recommend checking the chain tension annually. Our gearbox includes an external tensioner bolt to take up slack without opening the case.
3. Can it dig in rocky soil?
Light stones are fine, as the slip clutch will protect the gears. However, for solid bedrock or large boulders, this gearbox is not suitable. It is designed for soil, clay, and compacted earth trenching.
